addon database could not be updated. changed settings in firewalls to allow curse client through.
Tried to download manually- could not download manually (not using install via curse client button). Error message received: The server at addons.curse.cursecdn.com is taking too long to respond.
Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Steps to Reproduce

Open curse client. wait a minute for it to load. click "Get more addons" button. Wait another minute, see message at the bottom that says addon database could not be updated.
