What is Addon Sync?
Addon Sync was a feature added with the launch of the Curse Client v4, designed to keep your addons in sync between multiple PCs. By creating a Sync Profile, you can make sure that any addons you have on one computer will be downloaded to other computers who join the same Sync Profile.
Setup Process
To open the Addon Sync tool, click the Sync button in the toolbar. Click the “Enable AddonSync” checkbox and create a new sync profile by entering a name and clicking the “Create” button. Your addons will automatically sync when creating a profile for the first time.
To sync another computer, first make sure you log into the Curse Client with the same CurseID. Then when you enable AddonSync, you should see the Sync Profile you created in the drop-down under “Join Existing Sync Profile.” Select the Sync Profile you want, and once you click “Join” the Client will automatically download the necessary addons to keep your computer in sync with the profile.
Advanced Options
Auto Sync – The Auto Sync option, if enabled, will ensure that the Client will automatically check for updates to your Sync Profile and apply them to that computer.Auto Uninstall – The Auto Uninstall option, if enabled, will allow the Client to delete any addons that are not part of the Sync Profile that is active.
